Belgium may have missed out on the gold medal, but Arthur van Doren picked up another prize as well as his silver at the European championships – that of best player in the tournament. Belgium’s keeper Vincent Vanasch also took home the best keeper award.
The Netherlands’ Jorrit Croon was singled out as best under-21 talent while Robbert Kemperman won the the prize for best goal when he opened the scoring for the Netherlands in the final against Belgium.
The Netherlands’ Mirco Pruyser who put away two balls in the final was top scorer with six goals.
