The Euro ParaHockey Championships will take place from August 20-23 at Amsterdam hockey club Pinoké. The competition will take place between various country teams at several different levels.
For the first time in the history of hockey, a large scale European ParaHockey Championship event is organised. This event takes place during the Rabo EuroHockey Championships 2017 in Amsterdam between Monday August 21 and Wednesday August 23 on the grounds of hockey club Pinoké. The finals will be played at the nearby Wagener Stadium.
Ten countries delegate their best ParaHockey players to Amsterdam, where they will meet each other on a sports- and social related level. A set of social games, a BBQ and a big party will round up the event. It will be a celebration for the players and their companions never to forget!
Pinoké was established more than 60 years ago. The hockey club is well known due to the high level performances of their players and teams, in The Netherlands, as well as abroad. The club is known for its education and youth policy and for the many activities concerning hockey in general. But social interactions is important as well. Being a member of Pinoké means building a durable circle of friends for a life time. Over the past six years, the accommodation and the comlex have been completely renovated: a completely new, contemporary clubhouse, a private gym and a physiotherapy room, with water- and semi-water based pitches.
Pinoké has a large group of volunteers and professionals who are proud to be the host of these paralympic hockey games. Pinoké wishes all participants and coaches a great time at her home base.
